Keith Taylor, CPA
Registered
Investment Advisor Representative
Staff Accountant
Keith has been with WJH (and
its predecessor Hart-Wood) for 22 years. He earned a BA with Honors
from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977 and an MPA (Masters
of Public Accounting) from UT in 1982. He is a Certified Public
Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts.
Keith was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, proud home of one of
the two prairie dog towns in the world. During his high school years,
he worked as a dishwasher at a Campfire Girls camp, a paperboy,
a fried pie cook, and a truck loader at his dad's bakery. Keith
moved to Austin in 1970 to attend UT, majoring in Plan II (liberal
arts). Keith says that when he was within one year of graduating,
he realized he didn't have a clue about what he wanted to do with
his life; so he took a three year break from college. During that
time he worked as a roofer, a swimming pool construction laborer,
and a carpenter. He then returned to school, graduated in 1977,
and joined the ranks of the unemployable liberal arts graduates.
After three years of working for the state, Keith went back to school
and earned a masters in accounting. He joined WJH (then Hart-Wood)
in 1983.
Keith is married to Debbie Taylor (also an employee of WJH) and
has one son.
Keith provides expert and very experienced tax planning and return
preparation service to WJH clients.
