"Software as Services offers customers lower costs that are aligned with usage, minimal upfront expense, rapid implementation, and time to value, plus reduced risk."

Did you know...

"Software used to be something that you bought in a store as a product, installed on your PC and then used until the next version became available, when you repeated the purchase/installation cycle.  Using the power of the Internet, we can make users so much more productive, not only by simplifying and automating how they acquire software updates, but also by using the Internet to allow a particular application -- such as Office -- to function in entirely new ways."

 - Lisa Gurry, product manager for Office, Microsoft

1.  What is WJH Accounting Online?

We refer to our Internet-based tools as WJH Accounting Online (WJH-AO).  This is a collection of tools and services that are designed to truly make your life easier.

The idea behind WJH-AO is to collect the best Internet based accounting related products available and to integrate them into our other products and services.  The products that make up WJH-AO are -

  • Cost effective and modular

2.  What are some examples of WJH-AO applications?

A key component of the WJH-AO strategy is the Intacct family of online accounting solutions.  These are professional-strength accounting and reporting modules with the advantage of being available to you anytime and anywhere (all you need is a web browser).   Plus, Intacct offers integrated CRM and other functions.  For more information see the WJH Online Accounting with Intacct FAQ.

ProfitCents

Another WJH-AO component is ProfitCents.  ProfitCents is a tool that interfaces to the data from Intacct financial statements.  It can also be used in a standalone mode with other accounting applications.  It provides a custom report that presents your financial data in an easy to understand format using plain-language text, a scoring system, and graphics.  It provides an analysis of your business based on both a standalone analysis of its financials and also as a comparison with the financials of similar businesses in the same geographical area.  For more information see the ProfitCents FAQ

(Click here to return to top of page.)

3.  What do you mean by Software-As-A-Service?

The "Software-As-A-Service" (or SaaS) infrastructure is a critical part of the WJH-AO strategy.  SaaS refers to products that are available via the Internet, are hosted on remote, secure, highly reliable machines, and are maintained and updated with no effort on the users' part.  SaaS solutions are less expensive to use and maintain than desktop computer based solution because there is no need for expensive servers or the support services required to keep the servers running.  For more information about SaaS, please see the Software As A Service FAQ.
